Why Do I Love Paris? (and for that matter, Porter?)
"Taking Requests: From Paris to Porter" has been simmering on the back burner for some time. Having lived in Paris as a child, I love rediscovering the CIty of Lights as an adult through the songs of Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour and Gilbert Becaud, to name only a few. I just love Paris! And so does Cole Porter (he even wrote a song or two about that). I've always been drawn to the wit and romance of his work, and it was as I developed my various cabarets celebrating Paris and Porter that "Taking Requests" took shape.
I thank those who came before me for their artistry, inspiration and guidance. I am grateful to my friends and family for their unwavering support and to my fellow artists with whom I collaborate.
And I thank you, dear listener, in joining me. Enjoy!
